Click to enlargeDamping materials are used for the dissipation of mechanical energy associated with vibration, taking out the vibration or “ring.” The product can significantly reduce noise if applied to a relatively thin metal structure that is excited by vibration or airborne sound. Damping sheet is applied with a pressure-sensitive adhesive which is protected by a release liner.
